Ok, back to me.
Just in case you don't know, Crossfit helped me develop tendonitis in my right knee. I tried to ignore it for a couple weeks, then I started to have trouble doing stairs. So I stopped doing all things Crossfit that required knees. So pretty much I was limited to abs and shoulders. I was determined to get a pull up by the time I turned 35. Well I turned 35 on 8Sept, and I didn't get one. I think cause I was focusing so hard on arms, I did something to my elbows. It got so bad that driving and taking notes in class hurt. I would come in and attempt one pull up and then they would hurt for 3 days. So after taking two weeks off on my own, my doc told me to take 4 weeks off. This is why I haven't been around all September. Good news:
Due to physical therapy, and rest, my knee is better, i can walk stairs, I have tried squats at home and that is going well, though i am a bit nervous about lifting. But I've gotta start since NAT BLEW EVERY RECORD I HAD. Damn it Nat!! Also due to rest and triflex, I think my elbows are good, they ache from time to time, but they haven't cause me significant pain for about a week.
So hopefully Oct will be my re-indoctination to Crossfit. I am sooooooooo NOT looking forward to that first weeks muscle soreness. I am sure it will be an absolute BITCH!
As for my picture, I am now doing Clinicals in the Radiography program. I am having a blast, I am doing great, and I absolutely love being the old lady in class that fucks up the grade curve! LOL. Oh Yeah, I think I had a midlife crisis! The day I turned 35 and realized I am officially on the downhill slope to 40, so I chopped my hair completely off. Never in my entire life have I had hair above my shoulders. I love it, I hope you guys do to. Even if you don't I am sure you guys love me enough to lie your asses off! LOL. So my new "DO" was a self given present to myself for my birthday.
I have SEVERELY monitored my diet since taking my Crossfit-Break, so I have managed to maintain my weight. I am still sitting about 154-156. I just can't seem to get 150. Hopefully when I get back to the gym, burning those extra calories, 150 will come soon.
I miss you guys like crazy. You'll know how I love to come in there and VENT, physically, and vocally:)
Anyways I can't wait. I have too much going on this week, and next so I am planning to come in 3OCt in the afternoon. So Dymphna, you have plenty of time to plan some medieval torture for me.
